Warriors Haven is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support our mission of serving veterans and their families throughout the Lowcountry. This is an unpaid, volunteer position , ideal for someone passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of those who have served our country. About Us Warriors Haven is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that no veteran stands alone. We provide critical support services including housing assistance, benefits advocacy, and community outreach to at-risk and underserved veterans. Role Overview The Volunteer Grant Writer will play a vital role in identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling grant proposals to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents
Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact metrics
Track deadlines and maintain a grant submission calendar
Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants
Qualifications
Strong writing, editing, and research skills
Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (not required)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Passion for supporting veterans and community-based initiatives
