Warriors Haven is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Volunteer Grant Writer ** to support our mission of serving veterans and their families throughout the Lowcountry.

This is an **unpaid, volunteer position **, ideal for someone passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of those who have served our country.

**Role Overview **

**The Volunteer Grant Writer will play a vital role in identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling grant proposals to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives. **

**Key Responsibilities **

- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources

- Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents

- Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact metrics

- Track deadlines and maintain a grant submission calendar

- Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants

**Qualifications **

- Strong writing, editing, and research skills

- Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (not required)

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Passion for supporting veterans and community-based initiatives
