Vice President, Channel Control The Vice President, Channel Control is a senior commercial leader responsible for ensuring that the company’s indirect and retail channels are operating according to agreed standards, contracts, pricing, and governance, balancing growth with compliance and risk management. Core Responsibilities
Define and enforce channel‑control frameworks, including pricing discipline, promotional guidelines, margin structures, and channel‑conflict rules.
Monitor channel behavior (retailers, distributors, franchisees, partners) to detect and correct deviations from agreed terms and brand standards.
Partner with Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to design channel contracts, incentive structures, and governance policies.
Lead investigations and remediation of channel misconduct, grey‑market activity, price erosion, and unauthorized reselling.
Build and maintain data‑driven channel‑monitoring dashboards and KPIs for control, compliance, and leak‑rate tracking.
Represent the firm’s channel‑control and governance stance with key partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Typical Profile
15+ years in channel management, trade compliance, sales operations, or commercial‑risk roles, ideally with experience in large‑scale distribution or retail ecosystems.
Strong understanding of channel economics, pricing control, and anti‑parallel‑import / grey‑market risk.
High‑integrity, skeptical mindset with comfort in “saying no” when commercial pressures conflict with rules.
