About The Role
We are seeking a talented Short‑Form Content Manager to join our growing Media team. In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of Owner.com’s short-form content across multiple platforms, including Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and emerging video formats. Your work will significantly impact how hundreds of thousands of small business owners worldwide experience our brand and how we attract new customers and talented professionals to our mission. This position is critical in scaling our short-form content production, experimenting with new formats, and establishing best practices to maximize reach and engagement.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative content strategies, managing a team of producers, editors, and strategists, and ensuring high-quality output at a high volume. You will foster a culture of experimentation and performance, leveraging data insights to refine creative approaches and optimize results. Your leadership will help shape Owner.com’s online voice and brand perception, making media an even more powerful tool for growth and community building. This role is based in San Francisco, California, and offers an exciting opportunity to influence our digital presence and contribute to our mission of empowering local businesses globally.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in growing and managing short-form content across multiple social media platforms
  • Exceptional design eye for graphics, typography, and visual storytelling
  • Strong editing skills, with proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific best practices and native storytelling formats
  • Ability to balance creative instincts with data-driven performance analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on systems, workflows, and documentation
  • Curiosity and interest in AI-driven tools, automation, and new media workflows
  • Fluency in analytics, spreadsheets, and performance visualization tools
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the short-form content strategy across all relevant platforms
  • Pioneer new content formats and scale production capacity for written, graphic, and video posts
  • Hire, manage, and develop teams of producers, editors, and strategists to ensure high-quality, high-volume output
  • Maintain a high-performance culture focused on experimentation, innovation, and content excellence
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform creative decisions, test new formats, and iterate quickly for optimal results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and content to align messaging and campaigns
  • Shape how the Owner.com brand and voice are perceived online, ensuring consistency and engagement
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging platforms to keep Owner’s media presence innovative and relevant
