About The Role
The Quality Assurance Manager at Eat Evergreen Inc will be a vital member of the operations team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the company’s supply chain. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive quality management systems to maintain product integrity, comply with regulatory standards, and meet consumer expectations. The manager will lead efforts related to HACCP, GMP, allergen control, and traceability programs, working closely with co-manufacturing partners and internal teams such as Operations, Sales, and Marketing. This position offers an excellent opportunity to shape Evergreen’s quality programs from the ground up, leveraging past experience to establish best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires independent initiative, strong collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all products meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance management within the food industry, preferably with frozen products.
- Proven experience working with co-manufacturing partners.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, FSMA standards, and food safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience with quality management systems and related software.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, with the ability to lead initiatives independently.
- Experience in sensory evaluation and working with sensory consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 30% to manufacturing and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead quality process management efforts across all co-manufacturing sites.
- Manage HACCP, GMP, allergen control, and traceability programs to ensure product safety and compliance.
- Conduct site visits to ensure manufacturing processes adhere to specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee certification and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Track consumer complaints and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage internal and external audit programs to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Administer and oversee Evergreen’s recall plans and related programs.
- Establish and maintain microbiological, sensory, and physical testing protocols for finished products and processes.
- Oversee supplier quality assurance, including third-party microbiology testing, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies.
- Maintain relationships with third-party testing agencies and process authorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure continuous quality improvement.
