About The Role
The Quality Assurance Engineer at ThriveCart plays a pivotal role in maintaining the platform’s reliability, accuracy, and overall performance. This hands-on position involves designing detailed test plans, executing various testing methodologies, and developing automated test suites to ensure the integrity of new features and platform updates. The QA Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, product, and support teams to identify, document, and verify defects, ensuring that issues are resolved effectively before release. Additionally, the role encompasses ongoing monitoring of production systems to detect post-release anomalies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to uphold ThriveCart’s high standards of quality across all development cycles.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in Software QA or testing within SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, or related environments
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks such as PlayWright, Jest, or similar
  • Proficiency in testing APIs, databases (MySQL), and web-based workflows
  • Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira and version control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of payment systems and transaction flow testing is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify edge cases and failure scenarios
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts and understand API behaviors and database interactions
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to work

Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and platform updates
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web and mobile interfaces
  • Validate user flows, APIs, payment processes, and critical business scenarios to ensure seamless operation
  • Develop, expand, and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as PlayWright and Jest
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to streamline release processes
  • Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with engineering teams and verify fixes
  • Participate in release planning and coordinate testing activities across multiple product teams
  • Monitor production systems for post-release issues and conduct root cause analysis
  • Recommend improvements to testing strategies, tools, and processes to enhance overall quality
  • Support the implementation of QA best practices and promote consistency across teams
