About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our new team dedicated to developing a world-class mobile experience for parents of athletes using Hudl. In this role, you will be instrumental in launching and scaling a new platform that keeps parents connected to their child's sports journey by delivering highlights, schedule updates, and memories flawlessly. You will lead testing efforts within your squad, focusing on both prevention and efficiency to ensure our users enjoy a seamless and reliable experience. Your responsibilities will include championing the parent experience, driving a mobile-first testing strategy, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate technical challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic coding knowledge in Python or similar programming languages
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • User-focused mindset with strong empathy for end-users
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within global teams
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework (preferred)
  • Mobile testing experience (preferred)
  • Exposure to AI tools and automation (nice-to-have)
  • Knowledge of iOS or Android testing, including UI and performance nuances (nice-to-have)

Responsibilities
  • Champion the quality and user experience for the mobile platform targeted at parents of athletes
  • Lead testing efforts, including manual, exploratory, and automated testing to validate features and releases
  • Participate actively in all squad ceremonies, voicing quality concerns and advocating for mobile-first strategies
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to identify potential issues early and ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
  • Utilize automation tools to increase testing efficiency and coverage
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, defects, and quality metrics
  • Continuously explore innovative testing methods and tools to improve overall quality processes
