About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and automation-focused Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our Mobile team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile applications that manage and control Hudl’s smart camera systems. These applications enable coaches and administrators to automate sports video recording and uploading processes seamlessly, without the need for dedicated camera operators. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the testing expert within your cross-functional squad, guiding technical testing initiatives, and maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies, automate test processes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This role offers the flexibility to work either from our offices in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, or remotely from locations such as Kansas City, Chicago, Boston, Austin, or Dallas.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of software testing experience, with a strong understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with iOS and Android mobile app automation testing
  • Proficiency in designing and executing automated tests to improve testing efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and navigate shifting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with global teams
  • Customer and user experience focus in testing approach

Responsibilities
  • Lead and own the testing efforts within your squad, ensuring products meet and exceed user expectations
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify testing needs, and implement testing strategies
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, providing clear and actionable feedback to developers
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve testing processes
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and methodologies for automation to enhance testing coverage and efficiency
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring the end-user experience is prioritized in testing efforts
