About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst at Sharecare plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our data operations. This position involves conducting in-depth analysis to resolve complex data issues, proactively monitoring data trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, QA, Operations, and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing membership eligibility data, investigating discrepancies, and delivering reliable data throughput for internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a technically proficient individual with extensive experience in SQL, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik, and scripting languages like Python for automating repetitive tasks. The Senior Data Analyst will also contribute to the development of enterprise-level dashboards, support ad hoc reporting needs, and participate in data validation processes to ensure high-quality data delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data management, analysis, and reporting
  • 2-4+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database querying (Oracle, PL/SQL preferred)
  • Experience with data handling and business process analysis
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments (preferred)
  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and tools like Toad or equivalent database editors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of programming logic and data validation techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of membership and healthcare data from internal and external sources
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, communicating findings effectively to relevant teams
  • Design, develop, and execute database queries to support analytical and reporting needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss issues, and recommend improvements
  • Proactively monitor data trends to identify anomalies and potential issues
  • Support the preparation and analysis of various operational and strategic reports
  • Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards using BI tools for internal and external use
  • Perform data validation, develop new testing procedures, and ensure data quality
  • Coordinate with technical teams to manage system configurations and process improvements
  • Lead responses to customer inquiries related to data issues and requests
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients and the termination of existing accounts, ensuring smooth data transitions
  • Execute one-off data fixes, operational processing, and special requests as needed
  • Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment
