About The Role MoMA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join the Membership team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a positive and seamless experience for Museum members, supporting membership retention, engagement, and participation in events. The Administrative Assistant will handle a variety of administrative functions related to membership lifecycle communications, event coordination, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to MoMA’s mission by enhancing member relations and supporting the growth of the Museum’s community. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
One to two years of experience in development, membership, or subscription-based organizations
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail with excellent writing and proofreading abilities
Experience with ZenDesk and Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred
Proficiency in using technology including mobile devices, Google Workspace, point of sale software, and related tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
An interest in modern and contemporary art is advantageous
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee membership remote customer service channels, including telephone and email communications
Utilize ZenDesk to accurately categorize, organize, and report on member requests
Process membership renewal transactions efficiently and accurately
Collaborate across departments to implement new features aimed at enhancing the customer service experience
Maintain professional, helpful, and warm communication with members across all channels
Stay informed about Museum exhibitions, films, educational programs, and marketing campaigns to better serve members
Coordinate with departments to resolve customer service inquiries promptly and effectively
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Membership database
Assist in developing and testing member lifecycle communications and engagement strategies
Support planning and execution of onsite and virtual member events
Handle special membership category registration and fulfillment tasks
Perform additional duties as required to support the membership functions and objectives
