In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our corporate accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records in compliance with US GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial reporting, be adept at cross-functional collaboration, and have experience working in fast-paced environments such as fintech. Your expertise will help us scale our operations effectively by supporting automation initiatives, streamlining processes, and maintaining a robust internal control environment. You will act as a key partner across departments, contributing to the preparation of financial statements, managing the closing process, and supporting audit activities, all while leveraging technology to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance standards
- Experience in public accounting and fintech or technology sectors highly preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Experience with automation tools like Alteryx, BlackLine, FloQast, or similar
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and proactive mindset
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports, providing clear financial insights to stakeholders
- Lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to ensure timely and precise reporting
- Partner with finance systems teams to streamline accounting processes and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Apply automation and AI tools to modernize accounting operations, eliminate manual work, and create scalable finance processes
- Maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with SOX standards, identifying risks and implementing automated controls where appropriate
- Collaborate closely with finance, operations, treasury, and other departments to ensure alignment on accounting policies and business initiatives
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to facilitate smooth audits
