Job Title: Senior Data Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL or McLean, VA (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: Approved through end of year (potential extension)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join a dynamic, data-driven team. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, supporting business decisions through advanced analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in modern data tools and cloud platforms, along with the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Python/PySpark
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL
• Work with cloud-based data platforms to manage and consume data efficiently
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support business stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define data requirements
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
• Automate data processes and reporting where possible
Technical Requirements
• Python / PySpark: Hands-on experience using Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks
• SQL: Strong experience in data querying, manipulation, and optimization
• AWS (S3): Experience with data storage and consumption
• Snowflake: Practical experience with cloud-based data warehousing
• Linux / Unix: Basic shell scripting and command-line proficiency
• Dashboarding Tools: Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to translate technical findings into business insights
• Experience with data modeling and ETL processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
