Site Reliability Engineer (Full Time, Contract;Hybrid in Orlando, FL) Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support high-impact initiatives focused on automation, system reliability, and modernization of legacy infrastructure. This role centers on reducing operational toil, improving processes, and enhancing system performance across cloud environments using Python, Terraform, and AWS. The engineer will play a key role in managing secure cloud infrastructure (IAM, Secrets Manager), supporting CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to scalable, efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in SRE or DevOps environments, experience working in production systems, and the ability to take ownership of issues from identification through resolution. Exposure to GCP, containerization, and configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible are a plus. Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset are essential for success in this fast-paced, engineering-driven environment. Responsibilities:
Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational toil, streamline processes, and improve overall system reliability
Support the migration of legacy systems to modern, scalable cloud environments across AWS and GCP
Manage and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including updates and version upgrades
Ensure secure and compliant cloud configurations, with a strong focus on IAM policies and Secrets Manager
Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient, consistent, and reliable deployments
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve reliability, scalability, and production concerns

Hands-on Terraform experience, including building, managing, and upgrading infrastructure as code across environments
