Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking an Infrastructure Architect/Contact Center Architect, to join their team on a 6 month contract to hire. This role is remote but does require travel to the Tri-State area 2x a month (NY/NJ/CT) W2 - USC/GCH only - no C2C/sponsorship available Contact Center Transformation | Five9 CCaaS & AI Integration The Infrastructure / Telephony Architect leads the strategy, design, and governance of a global cloud contact center infrastructure supporting a large-scale CCaaS transformation initiative. This role is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient telephony and network architectures while enabling migration from legacy on-premise systems to a modern cloud-based contact center platform. Key Responsibilities:
Define global Five9 infrastructure architecture including resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability
Design enterprise network connectivity between cloud platforms, AI services, carriers, and enterprise systems
Lead telephony architecture including SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, SBC integration, and carrier strategy
Develop dial plans, number management, porting strategies, and call routing/failover models
Design bridge architectures supporting coexistence between legacy telephony and cloud platforms during phased migrations
Establish environment, release management, deployment, and configuration standards
Define security architecture, IAM standards, encryption requirements, and compliance controls
Lead capacity planning, monitoring, performance standards, and operational readiness activities
Drive architecture governance, risk management, technical reviews, and infrastructure decision-making
Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation and engineering teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience
7–10+ years of experience in infrastructure, telephony, or solution architecture roles
5+ years working with cloud contact center platforms such as Five9, Genesys Cloud, Amazon Connect, or NICE CXone
Strong expertise in SIP/SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, SBCs, voice networking, and telephony migration strategies
Advanced knowledge of SD-WAN, MPLS, QoS, bandwidth planning, and enterprise network architecture
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments
Strong understanding of voice quality metrics, disaster recovery, business continuity, and security frameworks
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and enterprise architecture governance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in large enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications
Direct Five9 infrastructure and multi-region deployment experience
Experience with Google CCAI/Dialogflow integrations
Knowledge of telecom compliance and global carrier management
