Senior Data Scientist – AI/ML Model Development
Remote USA | Banking & Financial Services | AI & Predictive Analytics
I’m currently partnering with a leading financial services organisation looking to appoint several Senior Data Scientists to join their growing AI/ML team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Data Scientists who enjoy solving complex business problems through advanced analytics, predictive modelling and machine learning within a highly data-driven environment.
The team is particularly interested in candidates with experience across:
• Credit Risk Modelling
• Marketing Analytics
• Consumer Banking Analytics
• AI/ML Model Development
The role combines advanced modelling, machine learning engineering and business strategy, with strong exposure to model governance, scalable deployment and enterprise AI solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
• Building and deploying predictive machine learning and statistical models at scale
• Translating business problems into AI, ML and optimisation solutions
• Developing automated analytical solutions to drive revenue, efficiency and risk reduction
• Working with structured and unstructured datasets across enterprise platforms
• Collaborating with Engineering teams to productionise AI/ML solutions
• Supporting model validation, governance and risk management frameworks
• Developing reusable production-quality algorithms and analytical libraries
• Communicating complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Mentoring junior Data Scientists and contributing to technical best practices
• Supporting innovation and continuous improvement across AI and Data Science initiatives
What they’re looking for:
• 6+ years’ experience within Data Science, Predictive Analytics or AI/ML environments
• Strong experience developing and validating machine learning models
• Advanced Python, R or SAS capability
• Strong SQL and data preprocessing expertise
• Experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
• Experience communicating technical insights to business stakeholders
• Ability to operate within regulated and governance-driven environments
Additional experience of interest:
• Banking or Financial Services experience
• Credit Risk or Marketing Analytics exposure
• Model Risk Management or Regulatory Framework experience
• Cloud-based AI/ML deployment exposure
• Experience mentoring junior technical teams
• Experience with enterprise-scale AI/ML model deployment
