About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at the manufacturing plant level. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager within the Manufacturing Division and is integral to maintaining and enhancing product quality standards. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing testing procedures, statistical process control methods, and quality assurance practices to ensure that our products meet stringent customer specifications and compliance requirements. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of core quality tools such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Control Plans. Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly Excel and Access, is essential, with the ability to develop and manage databases. Experience working in ISO/TS-16949 certified environments is preferred. Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Green Belt or Black Belt in Six Sigma, or internal TS auditors are highly desirable. Strong communication skills, project management experience, and the ability to travel up to 25% are also valued. Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing ongoing quality assurance support on the manufacturing floor by analyzing production data and refining testing methods. Developing and implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) testing, sampling, and inspection standards to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements is a core aspect of the role. Conducting audits, generating detailed findings reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions are essential to maintaining high-quality standards. The role also involves partnering with internal teams and suppliers to monitor, report, and improve key quality metrics. Leading training sessions and developing training materials to enhance quality control practices across the organization will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will champion special projects, applying Six Sigma and Lean principles to drive measurable improvements in process efficiency and product quality. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, participating in root cause analysis, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are fundamental to the role.
