About The Role
The Marketing Manager at Aramark plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company's food service operations, particularly within the collegiate hospitality sector. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that support accelerated profitable growth, enhance consumer satisfaction, and foster strong client relationships. The Marketing Manager utilizes the 4 P's of Marketing—Product, Price, Promotion, and Place—to implement programs that increase sales, promote meal plan upgrades, and enhance overall consumer engagement. They serve as a key representative of the Aramark brand, ensuring alignment with client branding elements and corporate standards. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills who can collaborate effectively across teams to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in product, program, or menu development within the food service industry.
  • Proven experience in building marketing capacity and tools within complex sales and marketing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, nutrition, food science, or business.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in writing and presenting.
  • Photoshop proficiency is preferred, with the ability to create compelling marketing visuals.

Responsibilities
Base Business Growth:
  • Design and execute marketing programs to increase sales, ensure accurate pricing, and drive meal plan upgrades and voluntary sales.
  • Implement promotional activities, sales enablers, and growth initiatives across accounts to foster profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with district managers and operations teams to develop tailored marketing and communication plans, monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and results tracking within the Meal Plan Analytics database to ensure data integrity and support decision-making.
  • Engage with clients at all organizational levels to sustain effective communication and build strong relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, including new products, services, and technological solutions to enhance sales and retention.
  • Participate in DiningStyles and Voice of the Consumer programs, presenting insights and results during team and client meetings each semester.

Team Development
  • Manage student peer-to-peer groups to ensure the successful execution of meal plan upgrade initiatives and voluntary sales activities.
  • Oversee student marketing interns, ensuring timely completion of program logistics and graphic materials.
  • Provide necessary training and support to ensure brand standards are maintained across all points of service, driving sustainable growth in sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Collegiate Hospitality team to implement national programs and initiatives effectively.
  • Support frontline management through marketing, service excellence, and suggestive selling training programs.

New Sales And Account Retention
  • Participate actively in contract re-bid and extension processes, providing marketing insights and support.
  • Assist regional marketing teams with strategic account reviews and engagement initiatives such as EngageIQ.
