About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist specializing in Marketing Analytics, with a focus on customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and subscription metrics. This role is integral to our data-driven decision-making process, working at the intersection of data, product development, and business strategy. The successful candidate will develop and deploy predictive models that influence key business metrics, optimize marketing campaigns, and enhance customer engagement strategies.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to operate within a dynamic environment that combines the agility of a startup with the scale of a major entertainment brand. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, product, and analytics—to translate complex business needs into actionable insights and scalable data solutions. Your work will directly impact revenue growth, customer retention, and overall business performance, making this an ideal position for a data professional passionate about entertainment and consumer analytics.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing models focused on churn prediction, LTV, CAC, or similar consumer metrics. You should have strong proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and cloud environments like AWS. A solid understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and experimental design is essential. The ability to analyze large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights is critical, as is the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience within entertainment, media, ticketing, or subscription-based businesses, familiarity with forecasting models and time-series analysis, and proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker. Exposure to big data tools like Spark is a plus, as is experience working in a highly collaborative, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining predictive models for churn, LTV, and CAC to inform growth and retention strategies. You will analyze ticket sales data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize pricing and promotional activities. Generating insights on customer behavior across various subscription and transactional products will be crucial to refining our marketing and engagement efforts.
Collaborating with product, marketing, and analytics teams, you will translate business needs into data-driven solutions, designing and analyzing A/B tests to evaluate new features, campaigns, and pricing strategies. Building scalable data pipelines and workflows in partnership with data engineering teams will ensure efficient data processing and analysis. You will also be responsible for communicating complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making across the organization.
