About The Role
The Inventory and Production Coordinator at Alene Candles Midwest LLC plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of production operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company standards. This position involves managing inventory transactions through ERP systems, coordinating with various departments to support manufacturing processes, and maintaining precise documentation for traceability and quality assurance. The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team. The Coordinator will act as a key point of contact for inventory management, batch record processing, and production scheduling, ensuring that all operations align with company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of experience in planning, manufacturing, inventory control, or administrative support within a production environment. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse or production setting is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially with cross-functional coordination, is preferred. Additional qualifications include the ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain Alene's standards of performance by consistently delivering quality, efficiency, and professionalism in all tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping policies, fostering a safe working environment at all times.
  • Accurately manage inventory transactions within the ERP system, including entering, verifying, and reconciling inventory movements for chemicals, fragrances, dyes, and wax components.
  • Process wax batch records by entering, issuing, unissuing, and receiving materials to ensure real-time inventory accuracy and product traceability.
  • Verify transaction data, including quantities and lot numbers, and resolve discrepancies through physical inventory checks as needed.
  • Print, review, and archive batch sheets, ensuring all documentation is legible, complete, and compliant with company standards.
  • Support production scheduling by updating and monitoring the Batch Schedule Plan, tracking progress, and facilitating communication across departments.
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Quality, Planning, and Production teams to clarify material availability, notify management of delays, and share status updates to prevent workflow disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Wax Supervisors or Leads to ensure departmental continuity and resolve operational issues in their absence.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining production and inventory reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping for audits and compliance.
  • Participate in inventory audits, including cycle counts and year-end physical inventories, supporting warehouse and production teams.
  • Act as a backup Batch Technician when necessary, following batch sheets and formulas, maintaining accurate records, and alerting supervision of inventory shortages.
  • Support other duties or special projects as assigned by the Wax Supervisor or Management, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
