About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Device Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team at Yochana. This role involves monitoring and managing the cybersecurity posture of connected medical devices across hospital clients. The ideal candidate will serve as a crucial link between biomedical engineering and information security, focusing on asset management, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. The analyst will utilize our advanced cybersecurity platform to identify vulnerabilities, coordinate updates, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of healthcare cybersecurity, contributing to patient safety and the integrity of medical operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should hold an associate's degree in Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in medical equipment maintenance, cybersecurity, or asset management is essential. Candidates must demonstrate high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, unstructured environments. Knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity, CMMS platforms, and connected medical device management is preferred. Security+ certification or equivalent security credentials within three to five years of employment are desirable. Prior experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to alerts generated by Yochana’s medical device cybersecurity platform, ensuring timely mitigation of identified risks.
- Interpret technical documentation, manuals, and device specifications to facilitate effective response and remediation.
- Generate comprehensive reports on cybersecurity status, asset inventory, and risk assessments on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for clients.
- Perform gap analysis by correlating discovered medical devices with existing asset management systems (CMMS) to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Create and assign work orders within the CMMS system for patches, firmware updates, and mitigations, ensuring timely execution.
- Triaging, responding to, and managing work orders related to medical device cybersecurity issues, coordinating with field teams as necessary.
- Ensure completion of work orders within established KPIs, providing on-site support if required to facilitate resolution.
- Research OEMs for available patches, firmware upgrades, and security updates, maintaining a current database of approved solutions.
- Proactively gather and update MDS2 forms and maintain documentation for device security compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement mitigation strategies, including patches, firmware updates, and compensating controls based on passive asset discovery and risk assessments.
- Participate in the Yochana CEIT Council, contributing to the development of cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Maintain security metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of current controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in threat intelligence activities, monitoring zero-day vulnerabilities, and correlating findings with client asset inventories.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in risk management and asset security best practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and patient safety criteria.
