Co-founded by Dan (builder and product visionary) and Jason (Head of Sales & Marketing), JACK App was built out of firsthand frustration with the complexity of running a construction business. Headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia, we are actively expanding into the United States with a Houston, Texas base of operations, establishing JACK as the go-to platform for the US residential construction market.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Content & Marketing Coordinator to own and execute JACK App's content and marketing function in the United States. This is a hands-on execution role spanning video production, organic social, EDM, and long-form content, built for someone who can run independently and build brand presence in a new market.
You will work directly alongside co-founders Dan and Jason, both Houston-based, to produce founder-led content, manage organic social across the US, run EDM nurture sequences, and contribute to paid creative strategy alongside our agency partner. You are the engine behind JACK's US content presence.
We are a small, high-performance team that uses AI tooling to punch above our weight. We grow people, not headcount. As JACK's US presence scales, this role has a clear pathway to Marketing Manager — with expanded ownership of strategy, budget, and market direction for the right person who earns it.
This is not a role for someone seeking direction. It is for an operator who owns their output.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Founder Content
• Shoot, edit, and publish US-specific short-form video content (Reels, social clips, organic video)
• Produce and direct regular content capture sessions with Dan and Jason — own the shot list, session schedule, and post-production
• Build and maintain a US content bank; ensure a minimum of 2 weeks of scheduled content at all times
• Adapt and localise AUS-produced content for the US audience where relevant
• Target output: 4-5 short-form videos per week across Facebook and Instagram
Organic Social Media
• Co-own JACK's organic social presence alongside the AUS team — single brand platform, US content lane
• Manage US-specific organic content within Meta Business Suite — hooks, captions, scheduling, and publishing
• Coordinate with the AUS team on content pillar alignment and publishing cadence to maintain brand consistency and avoid duplication
• Monitor and respond to US audience engagement across Facebook and Instagram
Paid Advertising — Creative Contribution
• Produce and supply raw content assets to our paid ads agency — footage, copy direction, and on-brand creative briefs
• Serve as the internal liaison between Jason and the agency — ensuring brand voice, ICP accuracy, and US market context are reflected in all paid campaigns
• Contribute to paid creative strategy alongside Jason and Dan — input on hooks, messaging angles, and US-specific positioning
• Note: Campaign execution, ad buying, and performance reporting sit with the agency
Email Marketing (EDMs) & Nurture Sequences
• Own the US EDM calendar end-to-end — strategy, copy, build, deployment, and reporting
• Build and manage multi-touch nurture sequences for cold-to-warm lead progression
• Write outbound sequence copy for prospecting campaigns
• Report weekly on open rates, CTRs, and demo booking conversions
• Platform: Mailchimp
Long-Form Content & Brand Authority
• Produce 2 long-form articles or blog posts per month targeting builder pain points and US search intent
• Create content supporting AI citation strategy — comparison pages, G2/Capterra review campaigns, and trade forum presence
• Contribute to HBA Houston and industry partnership content where required
• Maintain consistency in tone of voice across all US-facing content and channels
AI-Optimised Workflow
• Actively use AI tools to optimise content workflow — research, briefing, repurposing, caption variants, and SEO drafts
• Apply AI to eliminate repetitive grunt work so that creative thinking and brand quality remain the focus
• Stay current with emerging AI tools relevant to content, marketing, and workflow automation — bring recommendations to the team
• Understand clearly where AI accelerates output and where human craft is non-negotiable — brand voice and quality standards are always owner-reviewed, never outsourced to automation
Marketing Coordination & Reporting
• Maintain the US content calendar in Monday.com — brief-first workflow, approval process followed for all content
• Track and report on content performance metrics tied to demo bookings via Calendly
• Support cross-functional initiatives including product launches, US events, and partnership activations
• Coordinate monthly G2/Capterra review push with the onboarding team
Qualifications & Experience - Must-Have
• 3+ years in a content, marketing coordination, or communications role with video production and EDM ownership
• Proven short-form video capability — shoot, edit, and publish to Reels/social standard
• Experience building and managing EDM nurture sequences, not just newsletters
• Strong copywriter across long-form articles, social captions, and outbound sequences
• Actively uses AI tools to work faster and smarter — mindset of optimisation, not automation for its own sake
• Self-directed — can own a content calendar and hit volume targets without heavy oversight
• Houston-based — must be available for on-site content capture sessions with Dan and Jason
Strong Signals
• Has produced content around a founder or personal brand figure
• Experience working with or alongside a paid ads agency — understands the briefing and asset handoff process
• B2B SaaS, trades, construction, or blue-collar adjacent industry experience
• Comfortable working within Monday.com or similar project management tools
• Understanding of what performs organically on Facebook vs. Instagram for a trade or contractor audience
• Has experimented with and implemented AI tools to improve content output quality or speed
Red Flags — Do Not Apply If
• Video experience is limited to basic editing — production capability is a hard requirement
• EDM experience is execution-only with no sequence strategy or ownership
• You use AI to produce volume rather than to improve quality and efficiency
• You require a creative director above you to produce consistent content output
• Agency-only background with no in-house content ownership experience
• Not based in or willing to relocate to Houston, Texas. We are based in the The Woodlands, TX.
