Position: Workforce Associate - METAL Program
Location: Remote/Hybrid - must reside in one of the following states: TN, MI, OH, IN, FL, WV, NC, PA, TX with up to 15% travel
Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary:
IACMI - The Composites Institute®, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workforce Associate- METAL to provide administrative and coordination support across the METAL Workforce Team.
This role is critical in ensuring consistency, organization, and communication across multiple METAL regions and partner sites. The Workforce Associate will support all Workforce Coordinators by helping manage scheduling, tracking program activity, maintaining data systems, and supporting reporting and outreach efforts.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual will play a key role in keeping workforce operations running smoothly and ensuring that program deliverables are executed efficiently across the national METAL network.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support across all METAL Workforce Coordinators to ensure alignment and consistency
  • Serve as a point of contact for METAL partner sites to support communication, scheduling coordination, and reporting follow-up
  • Monitor partner site progress, track deliverables, and compile reports in coordination with the Project Management team.
  • Support outreach and partner engagement efforts by conducting calls, emails, and follow-ups with industry, education, and workforce partners
  • Assist in coordinating outreach events, recruiting activities, and partner engagement opportunities.
  • Follow instruction of the manager and coordinators on putting together planning documents for contracted partner equipment and training supply requirements
  • Support compliance data collection and outreach data collection for METAL team
  • Conduct outreach to METAL contractors to collect workforce data, track engagement, and support connections with companies involved in training, internships, and apprenticeship
  • Maintain and update partner and industry contact databases to support outreach, reporting, and ongoing coordination efforts
  • Coordinate travel logistics and develop itineraries for Workforce Coordinators and team activities.
  • Update records, slides, reports and correspondence as directed by the coordinator and manager

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to consistently communicate with training sites and employers
  • Able to learn and train to better understand Manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ability to learn new software and systems
  • Ability and motivation to do hands-on casting and forging training to learn more about the industry
  • Experience or degree skills to execute both administrative and in-person requirements
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel up to 15%

  • Experience working in manufacturing

  • Patience and ability to accept coaching as needed
  • Ability to schedule and complete manager and coordinator-assigned tasks
