Company Description Hancock Resource Center (HRC) is committed to strengthening the community through stable housing, family support, and youth development in Hancock County. HRC provides services including home rehabilitation, transitional to permanent housing assistance, home-buyer education, employment counseling, and job placement to support at-risk and disadvantaged populations. The organization also facilitates rental counseling and case management and assists with the rebuilding or rehabilitation of homes for eligible homeowners. With a focus on community development, HRC prioritizes youth investment and fosters community relations to ensure a vibrant, resilient future for Hancock County. Role Description The President will oversee the strategic direction, management, and operations of the Hancock Resource Center to achieve its mission. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing programs, leading community development strategies, engaging with stakeholders, managing organizational finances, and fostering strong relationships with local and regional partners. As a representative of HRC, the President will advocate for the organization’s goals, oversee grant funding and compliance, and lead staff to ensure operational excellence. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bay St. Louis, MS. Qualifications
Leadership and Management: Proven experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and team management.
Community Development Expertise: Knowledge and experience in housing assistance, community outreach, and development programs.
Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budget management, fundraising, grant writing, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
Communication and Relationship Building: Strong skills in public speaking, community relations, and stakeholder engagement.
Visionary Thinking: Ability to identify long-term opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and lead the organization toward sustainable growth.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Work) is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience in nonprofit leadership or a related field is highly desirable.
