It is the core philosophy of the Hancock Resource Center that stable housing and strong families build better community. Consequently, HRC provides home rehabilitation, transitional to permanent housing services, and home-buyer counseling and education, in addition to such services as employment counseling and job placement for our community's most vulnerable citizens. HRC services are targeted on rental counseling and case management for at-risk and disadvantaged populations, and intake and coordination of rebuilding or rehabilitating homes for eligible families who are homeowners. HRC also prioritizes community development, with a central belief that investment in our youth promotes a vibrant Hancock County of the future. Fostering community relations among residents, while organizing and preparing for future disasters, are additional community development strategies employed by the Hancock Resource Center.
