Our client is a leading food & beverage manufacturing company known for its commitment to quality, innovation, operational excellence, and food safety. With a strong market presence and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead plant operations and drive performance across production, safety, quality, and team leadership.
Position Overview
The Plant Manager will oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations within the facility, ensuring efficient production, compliance with food safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, people management skills, and a proven background in food & beverage manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, and sanitation
  • Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-control initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and company safety standards
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize plant performance
  • Manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing plant teams
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to improve output, quality, and profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including supply chain, engineering, HR, and quality assurance
  • Oversee budgeting, staffing, and capital improvement projects
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and operational excellence

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in food & beverage manufacturing operations
  • Proven leadership experience in a Plant Manager or senior operations role
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrated success managing large teams and high-volume production facilities
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
