Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and board on financial planning, capital allocation, and risk management
- Capital Markets & Fundraising Lead equity and debt financing rounds, investor relations, and strategic partnerships
- Manage relationships with venture capital firms, institutional investors, and strategic stakeholders
- Financial Operations Oversee accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and audit functions
- Implement scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting structures
- Crypto & Digital Asset Management Design and oversee treasury strategies involving digital assets, stablecoins, and token holdings
- Ensure proper valuation, custody, and reporting of crypto assets
- Regulatory & Compliance Ensure compliance with U.S. and international financial regulations (SEC, IRS, FinCEN, etc.)
- Establish internal controls and risk management frameworks in a regulated environment
- Data-Driven Decision Making Build financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to support rapid business scaling
- Drive KPI tracking across revenue, cost structures, and operational efficiency
- Team Leadership Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, operations, product, and engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent)
- Prior experience in fintech, investment banking, private equity, or digital assets/crypto industry
- Strong understanding of blockchain, tokenomics, DeFi, and crypto market structure
- Proven track record in fundraising and managing investor relations
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
- Background in a venture-backed or joint venture company
- Familiarity with crypto custody solutions, exchanges, and on-chain analytics tools
- Prior exposure to cross-border financial operations and tax structuring
