Job Responsibilities: Director of Business Development, West
Identify leads as potential sales targets for the integrated platform with a heavy focus on advertising, content marketing, and events (digital and live), as well as the ability to sell full-service marketing and agency services
Pitch, create proposals/contracts and sell products/offerings across the news platform, events and fully integrated services in partnership with Head of Events
Work with Head of Events on Connect Conference opportunities in the Connect CRE space to identify opportunities, create and host events
Promote the brand and offerings by phone, email and at in-person events
Track leads, potential deals and sales pipeline in HubSpot CRM
Work with Head of Audience Development to cultivate lists of engaged/warm leads and additional audience development strategies to grow the Connect CRE presence in the industry particularly focused on the West Coast and subscriber base
Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Serve customers by consulting, selling products and meeting customer needs
Work with marketing and creative teams to identify sales collateral needs
Stay in tune with financial services industry trends, best practices and market changes, including reading our news publication as well as others
Work with Editorial Directors to help grow editorial areas of coverage based on industry trends and market changes
Establish in-kind partnerships and trade out agreements with industry associations, publications and events to help grow the Connect CRE brand
Attend industry events and develop relationships with potential speakers, sponsors and advertiser
Deliver market insights from sales interactions to executive leadership and editorial team
Provide suggestions for new Connect CRE offerings to establish new sales opportunities based on market needs and industry gaps
