Fantastic field oriented role that will lead and/or support a growing portfolio of environmental engineering projects, primarily in the Western US. This role will lead fieldwork to execute site investigations and remedial actions. Responsible for Quality Control, technical direction, and subcontractor oversight. Approximately 70% travel and 30% remote/home office. Fieldwork will involve multi-media environmental sampling, subsurface drilling, lithologic logging, waste management, GPS surveying, and subcontractor oversight at key project sites across the U.S and Territories. Office work will involve technical writing and analysis/interpretation of field and lab data. This role will receive direct mentorship from licensed professionals (PG's, PE's) and is expected to implement original engineering solutions, manage self-directed training, and perform independent research and analysis.
Responsibilities: field execution according to the Work Plan, QAPP, and SAP; subcontractor oversight, daily quality control reporting, excellent note-taking, accurate data collection and transcription, collection/analysis/interpretation of field + lab data, lithologic logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, environmental sampling, project scheduling.
Required Experience: 5+ years as Geologist, Environmental Engineer, or related position performing some or all of the responsibilities listed above. BS or MS in relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications: Geologist in Training (GIT), Engineer in Training (EIT), Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), or GIS Professional (GISP) preferred
