Role Description This is a full-time role for an Engineering Manager based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, with opportunities to occasionally work from home on a flexible basis. As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee 3rd party engineering firms, technical rep teams off site globally, manage re-design of engineering projects, deviation engineering projects and ensure successful delivery of customer's aircraft conversion aircraft. Responsibilities include providing leadership to engineering teams, coordinating cross-departmental activities, managing software and system integration efforts, and upholding industry and regulatory standards in execution. You will also collaborate with company stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies. Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Aerospace Engineering Management and Team Leadership, including the ability to guide and inspire internal and external teams toward successful on-time project completion using rigorous project management for deliverables with dates.
Proficiency in Project Management and Integration, with a track record of managing complex FAA STC certification processes ensuring successful certification across global regulatory agencies.
Strong skills in Software Development, particularly within industries involving technical and engineering challenges.
Experience in aviation engineering with FAA, EASA and CAAC certification success is required.
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven approach.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with current industry, modification regulations and standards in aircraft modifications is required.
Experience using AI in engineering design, engineering processes, and efficiencies is a plus.
Experience in aircraft structures engineering and deviation engineering for FAA approval is a plus.
