Preferred qualifications include six or more years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and expertise in developing AI algorithms such as LLM inference, similarity search, and vector databases. Responsibilities
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop AI-powered products that improve how customers interact with Capital One and how employees work internally.
Design, develop, test, and support AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, governance, and observability tools.
Leverage a broad spectrum of open-source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch to build scalable solutions.
Invent and implement cutting-edge optimization techniques for large language models to enhance performance metrics like scalability, latency, throughput, and cost-efficiency in production environments.
Contribute to the technical vision and strategic roadmap of foundational AI systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Evaluate emerging AI research and incorporate innovative techniques into existing systems to maintain a competitive edge.
