Purchasing Assistant – Round Rock/Pflugerville We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing department in day-to-day operations. - Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders.
- Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and back-ordered items to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, confirm order details, and schedule deliveries.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to confirm deliveries and assist with receiving inventory into the Warehouse Management System while verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Assist in researching suppliers and gathering quotes.
- Assist with entering and updating product costs and pricing in the Warehouse Management System.
- Order and manage office and warehouse supplies as needed.
- Support the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Warehouse experience in electrical or lighting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or WMS software is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
