About the Role This opportunity is for a Chief Financial Officer who will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and play a central role in shaping long-term financial direction, organizational stability, and enterprise-wide decision-making. This role is responsible for leading financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, audit oversight, risk management, and board-facing financial communication. The position also provides high-level guidance on financial modeling, regulatory matters, policy development, and operational planning. The ideal candidate brings strong executive leadership experience, deep financial expertise, and the ability to translate strategy into practical financial and operational outcomes. This role also leads the finance function, supports cross-functional decision-making, and helps ensure the organization’s resources are managed with discipline, transparency, and accountability. What You’ll Do
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial strategy and long-range planning.
Lead financial planning and analysis to support executive decision-making and long-term organizational performance.
Develop forward-looking financial models and scenario analyses to guide planning, investments, and strategic decisions.
Provide leadership on new initiatives, regulatory matters, and enterprise risk.
Oversee financial administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure financial systems, reporting practices, and internal processes align with GAAP and sound financial management standards.
Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk mitigation practices.
Manage banking relationships, investments, and cash management activities.
Oversee audits, including general ledger and 403(b) audits.
Present monthly financial results to the Finance Committee and quarterly financial updates to the Board of Directors.
Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Board Finance Committee, providing clear reporting, insight, and strategic guidance.
Lead and support the finance department, including direct oversight of the Director of Accounting & Finance.
Build and maintain a high-performing finance team focused on accountability, integrity, and service.
Promote strong cross-functional collaboration to support organizational priorities and operational decision-making.
Establish trust and credibility across the organization as a practical, strategic, and solution-oriented finance leader.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
10 to 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
Proven experience advising executive leadership teams and boards.
Strong background in financial planning and analysis.
Strong experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
Experience improving financial policies, systems, and operational processes.
Experience with regulatory compliance and audit oversight.
Ability to translate strategic goals into effective financial and operating models.
Strong executive presence with a proactive and mature leadership style.

Compensation : $225,000 - $250,000 per year Work Eligibility & Travel This remote opportunity is based in the United States. Travel is required as needed, approximately 25%.
