The Grants Manager secures and manages funding public and private sources to support agency programs and operations. This role is responsible for the full grant lifecycle, from research and proposal development to compliance and reporting. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Calendar Development and Maintenance
Manage the grant calendar to track application cycles and reporting deadlines
Ensure all deadlines are up to date for accurate planning
Identify and research prospective foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities
Determine program alignment and appropriate ask amount for each grant application
Application Management
Lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals
Understand and persuasively communicate to funders the organization’s mission, purpose, program initiatives, and greatest needs
Create and manage project timelines for all applications to ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate with program and finance teams to develop project budgets and ensure proposals align with agency needs
Maintain digital and physical grant records, including the entry of award data into Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge
Reporting
Ensure grant contracts are executed and filed
Collaborate with the Finance and Operations department to confirm grant codes and monitor fiscal compliance
Support the Grants Administration Director with the collection and interpretation of data to ensure adherence to grantor requirements
Draft and submit narrative and fiscal reports to funders in coordination with program staff
General
Attend quarterly program outcome review meetings and pivot grant strategy to support the evolving needs of the organization, as needed
Support the Grants Administration Director in communicating funding gaps and organizational needs to leadership
Other duties as assigned by the Grants Administration Director

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree required with at least 2 years of experience in writing, researching and reporting. Master’s degree preferred
Strong organizational and writing skills
Basic understanding of data collection, database systems, and budgets
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment; deadline driven; and proficiency in Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and manage projects. Commitment to the YWCA mission of the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
37.5 hours per week
Work typically performed in an indoor office setting, remotely and/or at various work sites
