JOB TITLE Cyber Security Analyst LOCATION St. Louis, Missouri (Hybrid) HYBRID POLICY 70% On-Site 30% Work-from-Home Job Summary The Cyber Security Analyst plays a critical role in protecting the organization’s systems, data, and networks in an increasingly complex digital environment. This position is responsible for monitoring security activity, responding to incidents, and proactively identifying risks to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of technology systems. In this role, you’ll partner closely with IT leadership to strengthen security practices, enhance processes, and support a secure, resilient infrastructure. Monitor security logs, alerts, and systems to identify and respond to suspicious activity or potential threats
Lead initial incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams to investigate, contain, and remediate security events
Perform vulnerability scans and assessments to identify risks across hardware and software environments
Analyze root causes of vulnerabilities and document mitigation strategies and remediation plans
Manage and audit user access, accounts, and permissions within Active Directory to ensure appropriate access controls
Support network security by maintaining and securing infrastructure components including firewalls, DNS, and DHCP
Maintain detailed documentation for security procedures, audits, and technical analyses
Ensure systems and applications are updated with current security patches and configuration standards
Support disaster recovery planning by implementing and testing backup, restoration, and fault tolerance processes
Provide guidance and training to team members to promote a strong security mindset across the organization
Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is preferred Experience
4 to 6 years of experience working with production server hardware/software, Active Directory, and network security infrastructure is required
Experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management is required
Experience supporting enterprise-level systems and infrastructure environments is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong knowledge of Active Directory security, including user accounts, group policies, and access controls
Strong knowledge of Windows Server security configuration and system hardening
Understanding of disaster recovery concepts, including data backup and restoration
Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, Cisco environments, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
Familiarity with patch management processes, SAN storage security, and fault tolerance practices
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate root causes, and drive improvements
Ability to respond to security incidents and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes and procedures clearly
