As our advisory services continue to expand, we are seeking an Advisor with strong accounting expertise to work directly with clients on complex accounting issues, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making. Position Overview: The Advisor is responsible for owning client accounting and advisory delivery, serving as a trusted financial partner to business owners. This role goes beyond transactional bookkeeping and focuses on financial accuracy, insight, and forward-looking guidance. Advisors work closely with clients to solve complex accounting problems, prepare meaningful financial analysis, support growth decisions, and act as a fractional CFO for assigned clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep accounting work, client problem-solving, and strategic financial thinking. Key Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership & Technical Excellence
Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients
Resolve complex accounting issues, including:
Revenue recognition
Accruals and deferrals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Cleanup and catch-up engagements
Multi-entity and intercompany accounting
Ensure financial statements are accurate, GAAP-aligned, and decision-ready
Serve as the technical escalation point for assigned clients
Fractional CFO & Advisory Services
Act as a fractional CFO for clients, providing:
Cash flow forecasting and management
Budgeting and financial projections
Profitability and margin analysis
Scenario planning and growth modeling
Translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations
Support business owners with strategic decisions related to:
Hiring and scaling
Pricing and cost structure
Capital planning
Operational efficiency
Client Relationship & Communication
Serve as the primary accounting and advisory contact for assigned clients
Lead client meetings to review financials, forecasts, and performance
Explain complex accounting concepts in clear, practical terms
Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas
Build trusted, long-term client relationships
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Develop management dashboards and KPIs
Analyze trends, variances, and performance drivers
Support clients with lender, investor, and internal reporting needs
Collaboration & Firm Integration
Collaborate with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax teams to ensure aligned delivery
Partner with firm leadership on advisory service development
Support onboarding of new advisory clients
Contribute to documentation and improvement of advisory processes

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
Experience resolving complex accounting issues for small or mid-sized businesses
Experience working directly with business owners or leadership teams
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm
Prior experience providing advisory or fractional CFO services
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling
Multi-entity or industry-specific accounting experience
