**POSITION SUMMARY**

As the Business Analyst, the ideal candidate will add an analytical focus to the initiatives of multiple functions within the organization.  The Business Analyst will play a key role in assisting leadership with various projects related to successful management and delivery of our FTTH markets.  The role will focus on foundational tools and processes to enable consistent, standardized tracking and reporting across our market portfolio. The Business Analyst will also assist in proactive data management, report creation, and data analysis, helping to synthesize information from disparate sources and inform a roadmap for integration.  This role will collaborate with several departments and assist in defining and instituting process architecture and data definitions to enable accurate, timely reporting of metrics and thorough, actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate will gain exposure to all areas of the business and work to break down functional silos with strong communication and collaboration, optimizing our data and processes to drive Vero’s success.

**RESPONSIBILITIES **

- Learn the business and build relationships to become a valued cross-functional resource, providing data led insights that enable better decision-making

- Support multiple functions in data management and analysis (Sales, Marketing, Ops, PMO, Business Development) to inform and improve standard processes, as well as in support of strategic transformation initiatives

- Assist in the creation of detailed process maps and documentation to illustrate current and future-state business processes

- Support the analysis of current business processes, data, and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement

- With guidance, prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and project progress to stakeholders

- Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of departmental issues and risks, and work with leadership to recommend opportunities and solutions

- Generate/build ad-hoc reports and analyses

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS **

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or related field

- Intermediate to Advanced Excel – VBA, SQL, and R/Python preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically

- Experience with or ability to learn business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and project management software

- Experience working collaboratively on Microsoft Office Suite/Teams, including sharing documents, setting permissions, and managing version history to facilitate team collaboration and document management

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail

- Aptitude and desire for learning new/different processes within the company, with a drive to build a strong foundational skillset for a career at Vero

**COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION **

- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. For Colorado-based applicants, the pay range and benefits listed above apply in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

- This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, based on individual performance and company profitability.

Role Overview

The Tax Manager will be the company’s in-house tax lead, responsible for all aspects of U.S. tax compliance, reporting, and planning at VFN Holdings, INC and subsidiaries. This role is ideal for a generalist who thrives on variety — managing corporate and indirect taxes, optimizing processes, and partnering with business and finance leaders to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all federal, state, and local tax compliance obligations, including corporate income, franchise, sales/use, property, payroll and telecom-related taxes.

- Coordinate with external advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns.

- Develop and implement tax planning, mitigation and deferral strategies to minimize liabilities and support business growth.

- Ensure proper payroll tax processing for stock-based compensation.

- Monitor and interpret tax law changes and assess potential impacts on the business.

- Support regulatory and telecom-specific tax reporting (e.g., USF, E-911, gross receipts, and similar state telecom assessments).

- Partner with subsidiary accounting and finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, compliance and audits.

- Identify and execute process improvements, ensuring strong internal controls over tax processes.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for external tax advisors, auditors, and state agencies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- 6–10 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and/or in-house roles.

- Strong understanding of U.S. corporate and state income tax tax, with experience in sales/use tax, payroll and telecom-specific taxes preferred.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues for non-tax stakeholders.

- Comfortable in a mid-sized fast-growing company where collaboration, ownership, and adaptability are key.
