Job Summary As a Business Data Analyst, the employee will support the Data & Software Solutions team in delivering reliable, actionable insights for the David Eccles School of Business. Core Responsibilities Include (not Limited To)
Running and validating reports from the Student Data Warehouse and Salesforce CRM to fulfill data requests from academic and administrative partners.
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing Tableau dashboards.
Collecting, validating, and reporting data to support rankings and accreditation.
The analyst interprets results using techniques that range from basic aggregation and statistical analysis to advanced data mining. They design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, collaborating closely with campus partners to define analytical requirements and ensure data accuracy. Additional Information

Manage the end-to-end accreditation and rankings process by collecting, analyzing, and validating large datasets from multiple departments to ensure timely and precise submissions for university ranking bodies.
Analyze, interpret, and validate data from multiple university systems using a range of analytical techniques.
Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports in Tableau and other tools to support decision-making.
Manage Tableau Server extracts and refresh schedules; troubleshoot connection or data-quality issues as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and workflow efficiencies within the Data & Software Solutions team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and implement effective solutions.
Contribute to data governance and quality initiatives by ensuring consistency across systems and reports.
Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. Preferences
Proficiency with spreadsheet and data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
Experience building data visualizations and reports in platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight.
Working knowledge of SQL for querying, joining, and validating data.
Understanding of ETL concepts and data preparation tools or workflows.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with close attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to take initiative as a self-starter and drive improvements in reporting, data quality, and automation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
