About the role
Tutor Chat AI is building an AI‑powered tutoring platform designed specifically for K‑12 and higher education institutions. Our mission is to provide curriculum-aligned, 24/7 GPT -4–based support integrated with platforms like D2L, Canvas, and PeopleSoft. We’ve secured pilot interest from schools and college networks and are now assembling a founding team to scale. We’re a lean, mission‑driven startup seeking a Product Manager ready to help shape the future of education technology. We are launching a few pilots and are looking for a Product owner to help us on that journey.
Location : Remote (U.S.‑based), occasional alignment with the Houston, TX timezone

As Product Manager, you'll be a core product strategic partner, playing a multifaceted role that evolves as we grow.

As Product Manager, you'll be a core product strategic partner, playing a multifaceted role that evolves as we grow.
- Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap in alignment with our education platform and business goals.
- Communicate and actively engage customers as we are launching our first few pilots
- Lead the Product Management effort and be able to operate on a strategic and hands-on level
Required Experience :
- 2+ years of experience in Product Management, Consulting, Service Design, UX Research, or Operational Transformation
- Experience owning products or digital solutions from discovery through delivery
- Experience conducting user research, workflow mapping, process analysis, or operational discovery
- Ability to translate business pain points into product strategy, requirements, and delivered solutions
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes and adoption
- Experience working closely with engineering teams on feasibility, prioritization, and trade-offs
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with autonomy
Skills & Characteristics :
- Product vision, ownership, and passion for the EdTech space
- Resilience and adaptability: thrives in ambiguity, resource constraints, and iterative pivots
Nice-to-Have :
- Experience working in edtech or education contracts environment (e.g., K‑12 or higher ed integrations)
- Familiarity with GPT‑4, prompt design, LTI, or educational platforms like D2L, Blackboard, or PeopleSoft
