About True Green Capital Management LLC True Green Capital Management LLC (“TGC”) is a private equity renewable infrastructure fund manager focused on distributed solar power generation and associated opportunities. The firm is based in Westport, Connecticut with an office in London and an investment focus in the United States and Europe. The firm was founded in July 2011 and is led by a team of professionals with extensive experience and a demonstrated capacity to originate, finance, construct, and operate distributed renewable power generation projects. The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing journal entries, month-end closings, financial reports and statements, and project level AP/AR, and bank reconciliations. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and strong overall accounting skills. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting
Maintain accurate and complete financial records for multiple SPVs
Record journal entries across all standard accounting areas (accruals, deferrals, adjustments, allocations)
Financial reporting for lender/tax equity counterparties, e.g. operating reports, budgets, debt service calculations and prep of withdrawal certs / other covenant requirements
Perform account reconciliations, including cash, balance sheet, revenue, and expense accounts
Ensure financial records are complete and accurate for each project company for review
Support preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for each project company
Support external audit and tax preparation processes by providing accurate financial data (no tax responsibility)
Accounts Payable / Receivable (Multi-Entity)
Process, code, and record vendor invoices across multiple project companies
Ensure accurate entity-level classification of costs and expenses
Execute payment processing and maintain vendor records
Support customer billing and receivables tracking where applicable
Escalate discrepancies or exceptions to Controller / Assistant Controller team as needed
Complete bank and account reconciliations as part of the close process
Prepare supporting schedules for review and reporting purposes
Systems & Process Support
Work within NetSuite, QuickBooks, and/or Sage across multiple entities
Support process improvements and standardization initiatives
Identify and escalate process or data integrity issue
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3+ years of accounting work experience.
multi-entity accounting environments a plus full-cycle accounting and monthly close execution a plus operating company or asset-backed business exposure a plus
Knowledge of GAAP, company accounting principles, procedures, and practices.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general business systems knowledge.
Strong experience in accounting operations, reconciliations, and AP/AR
Effectively manage and complete assignments on time, possess excellent organizational abilities, and pay great attention to detail.
A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with different levels and functions of the organization.
Possess strong analytical and reasoning abilities, with strong numeric skills and quantitative acumen.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage)
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
