Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Multidisciplinary Therapist role based in Philadelphia, PA, with a combination of in-person visits and work-from-home responsibilities. The Multidisciplinary Therapist provides early intervention services to children ages birth to five, including evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy within the child’s natural environment or via tele-therapy. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting developmental assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, delivering occupational, speech, developmental, or behavioral interventions within scope of license, and documenting services in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with families, caregivers, service coordinators, and other providers to support family-centered goals and coach caregivers on strategies for daily routines. The therapist also participates in team meetings, maintains timely communication with the agency, and stays current with best practices and regulations in early intervention.
Qualifications
  • Licensed or license-eligible in a relevant discipline (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related behavioral/therapy field) in the state of Pennsylvania; appropriate credentials for early intervention practice required.
  • Experience providing early childhood intervention or pediatric therapy, including developmental assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for children birth to five.
  • Demonstrated skills in family-centered practice, caregiver coaching, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and service coordinators.
  • Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Comfort with technology for tele-therapy, electronic documentation, and virtual meetings; reliable internet access for remote work components.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds and to explain clinical recommendations in understandable terms.
  • Ability to travel within Philadelphia and surrounding service areas for in-home and community-based visits, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as needed.
