About The Role.TMV is looking for a Content Creator who leads with strong conceptual foundation and pairs that with the ability to shoot and edit compelling short-form video. This role is ideal for someone who understands how visuals, and pacing work together to stop the scroll and tell a story. You’ll be responsible for creating original content across social platforms—filming content, and editing videos that feel native, timely, and engaging. This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of clients in CPG, automotive, banking, B2B, luxury and more. We have a diverse group of clients that you will not find anywhere else in Detroit. You will be doing a whole lot more than e-blasts and coupons here. What You’ll Do
Concept and create short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories, etc.)
Shoot high-quality content using a phone or camera (lighting, framing, audio awareness)
Edit videos with strong pacing, text overlays, music, and transitions
Adapt content to different platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice
Collaborate with marketing, creative, and brand teams on campaigns and content ideas
Stay current on social trends, formats, and platform best practices
Manage multiple pieces of content from concept to final delivery
What We’re Looking For
Excellent editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar tools)
Proven experience creating social-first content
Strong understanding of storytelling, tone, and audience engagement
Comfortable shooting video content (self-shot or with others)
Solid video editing skills
Understanding of social platforms and how content performs on each
Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
Nice to Have
Experience building or managing a brand’s social presence
On-camera confidence or experience directing talent
Motion graphics or basic animation skills
Photography or graphic design experience
Adobe Suite knowledge: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD)
Knowledge of analytics and performance optimization
