**Position Summary **

Behavioral Health / Public Health Coaches & Facilitators are responsible for delivering one or more of the specialized training programs offered by TheeSeeds Institute. Facilitators ensure high-quality instruction, trauma-informed engagement, and practical skill development for adult learners preparing for workforce roles in behavioral health, public health, and community wellness.

**Core Responsibilities **

- Deliver assigned course(s) following TheeSeeds Institute curriculum and training standards.

- Facilitate interactive, trauma-informed learning for adult participants.

- Lead discussions, practical demonstrations, case studies, and reflective activities.

- Document attendance, evaluations, and required learner progress data.

- Support participant success through coaching, mentoring, and skill-building guidance.

- Ensure culturally competent and person-centered instruction.

- Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.

**Minimum Qualifications **

**Education ** (choose one):

- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Community/Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field;

OR

- At least 2 years of direct field experience relevant to the specific course(s) being taught.

**Professional Experience **

- Applicants must have experience in at least one of the program areas they intend to teach:

- Public health or community health services

- Peer recovery or lived experience in recovery support

- Behavioral or mental health support

- Trauma support, domestic violence intervention, or suicide prevention

- Disability inclusion or direct support services

- Substance use prevention or addiction recovery

- Dementia, ADRD, or caregiving support

- Community wellness, behavioral skill development, or health promotion

**Required Competencies **

- Working knowledge of the subject matter of at least one listed course

- Strong classroom facilitation and communication skills

- Ability to work with adult learners using culturally responsive approaches

- Experience applying trauma-informed and person-centered practices

- Ability to simplify concepts and support practical application

- Strong documentation and organizational skills

- Professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality

**Preferred ** (But Not Required)

- Certification related to the courses you will teach (e.g., CPRS instructor for CPRS course, direct support credential for DSP course, etc.)

- Experience facilitating virtual or hybrid classes

- Lived experience relevant to recovery, behavioral health, or wellness (where appropriate)

**Additional Requirements **

- Ability to teach in-person, virtual, or hybrid depending on program needs

- Access to reliable internet and technology for online classes

- Flexibility to teach evenings or weekends as scheduled
