About the role

ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Product & Commercial Analytics Manager to lead high-impact analytics across our sweepstakes casino business. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, VIP, Payments, Fraud, Compliance, Operations, and Data Engineering. The mandate is to help the business make faster, sharper, and more profitable decisions by connecting player behaviour, product performance, marketing quality, payment outcomes, redemption activity, and risk indicators into one commercial view.
This is not a dashboard-only role.
The successful candidate will be hands-on with data, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a high-volume digital gaming environment where growth, fraud exposure, payment performance, redemption behaviour, and compliance controls must be evaluated together — and where sweep coin liability, state-level performance variance, and operational realities.
DEPARTMENT : Product/Analytics
LEVEL : Senior Analytics Lead
REPORTING TO: General Manager, TheBoss.US
PAY RANGE : Upto USD $120,000 depending on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Commercial and Player Value Analytics: Own or co-own metrics including LTV, ROAS, payback, ARPU, player net value, purchase-to-redemption ratio, redemption rate, bonus cost, hold-style performance, and cohort profitability. Analyze revenue, player value, acquisition quality, retention, reactivation, monetization, VIP progression, and lifecycle performance across channels, cohorts, campaigns, player segments, and states.
  • Product and Gameplay Analytics: Partner with Product and Game Operations to evaluate feature launches, lobby performance, game placement, game mix, tournaments, jackpots, loyalty mechanics, promotional experiences, and personalization initiatives. Build measurement frameworks for funnels, conversion, engagement, retention, monetization, and post-launch impact.
  • Marketing, CRM, and VIP Analytics: Evaluate campaign performance, CRM effectiveness, offer strategy, VIP movement, churn risk, player reactivation, and reinvestment efficiency. Help Marketing and VIP move beyond volume-based performance toward quality-adjusted performance that accounts for redemption behaviour, promo dependency, chargebacks, and long-term player value.
  • Payments, Redemptions, Fraud, and Compliance Insight: Work closely with Payments, Fraud, Compliance, and Operations to measure PSP approval trends, failed transactions, decline reasons, payment retries, chargeback exposure, refund trends, redemption velocity, KYC pass/fail outcomes, manual review volume, and high-risk player behaviour. Help leadership distinguish healthy commercial growth from activity that creates leakage, liability, or operational exposure.
  • Sweepstakes-Specific Analytics: Support sweep coin liability modeling, state-level player segmentation and compliance variance, and 1099-reportable transaction analytics. Understand that in our environment, gross activity metrics are insufficient — every commercial conclusion must account for redemption economics and regulatory risk.
  • Reporting, Data Governance, and Automation: Build and maintain trusted dashboards, analytical datasets, SQL models, KPI definitions, and executive reporting packs. Establish one version of truth for key business metrics and improve self-service visibility across teams. Automate recurring reporting, alerting, anomaly detection, and operational monitoring where possible.
  • Predictive Analytics and Experimentation: Support predictive and statistical work around churn, LTV, VIP propensity, redemption likelihood, payment risk, fraud indicators, and bonus abuse. Support A/B testing and experimentation with defined success metrics, test design, measurement windows, statistical interpretation, and clear business recommendations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Analytics experience: Significant experience in commercial, product, marketing, gaming, payments, or fintech analytics in a high-volume digital consumer environment.
  • SQL and data platforms: Strong SQL skills working with large transactional, behavioural, and event-level datasets. Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar preferred.
  • BI and reporting: Strong Power BI experience including DAX, data modelling, dashboard design, KPI governance, and stakeholder-facing reporting.
  • Commercial judgment: Ability to translate data into decisions involving revenue, margin, retention, promotions, player value, product ROI, and operational risk.
  • Product analytics: Experience with funnels, conversion, engagement, retention, feature measurement, personalization, A/B testing, and product roadmap support.
  • Payments and risk literacy: Familiarity with payment approval rates, chargebacks, KYC/AML, fraud signals, manual review, bonus abuse, or redemption controls. Sweepstakes context a strong plus.
  • Sweepstakes knowledge (preferred): Understanding of sweepstakes economics — P2R ratios, redemption velocity, sweep coin liability, state-level compliance variance, and 1099 reporting thresholds.
  • Communication: Ability to produce executive-ready insight with diagnosis, financial impact, alternatives, recommendation, and next steps.
  • Technical depth (preferred): Python, Spark, dbt, Git, statistical modelling, or ML exposure is a plus but not mandatory if commercial analytics judgment is strong.

CORE KPIS THIS ROLE SHOULD HELP OWN OR GOVERN
  • Commercial performance : Revenue, net revenue, ARPU, LTV, ROAS, payback, player net value, cohort profitability.
  • Sweepstakes economics: Purchase-to-redemption ratio, redemption rate, redemption velocity, bonus cost, sweep coin liability indicators, hold-style performance, 1099-reportable transaction volume.
  • Product performance: Funnel conversion, feature adoption, game engagement, lobby performance, retention, session frequency, game mix, personalization impact.
  • Marketing and VIP: Acquisition quality, channel quality, CRM uplift, reactivation rate, VIP movement, reinvestment efficiency, churn risk.
  • Payments: PSP approval rate, decline rate, retry success, failed purchases, payment method performance, chargeback rate, refund exposure, state-level payment variance.
  • Risk and operations: KYC pass/fail rate, manual review rate, fraud loss %, duplicate account indicators, promo abuse indicators, redemption review time.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, technically credible, and comfortable challenging assumptions. They can work hands-on in SQL, build trusted dashboards, investigate anomalies, explain root causes, and turn analysis into action.
Critically, they understand that in sweepstakes casino operations, the goal is not just higher activity. The goal is profitable, compliant, scalable, low-leakage growth — and they know the difference between a player cohort that looks good in gross revenue and one that holds up when redemption costs, bonus dependency, chargeback exposure, and payment risk are factored in.
They are not intimidated by fraud, compliance, or payments conversations. They see those functions as data sources, not blockers. And they understand that in a multi-state sweepstakes environment, commercial insight must be state-aware and regulation-literate.
HOW TO APPLY
