Job Summary We’re looking for a detail-driven and service-focused Housekeeper to join our team at an apartment community where presentation and resident experience matter. In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean, polished, and welcoming environment across all floors of a multi-level building—from high-traffic common areas to move-in ready apartment homes. Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to):
Clean Common Areas: Daily cleaning of lobbies, hallways, elevators, and stairwells.
Apartment Turnover: Deep clean vacant apartments for new residents.
Trash and Recycling: Remove trash and recyclables from common areas and maintain cleanliness of trash rooms.
Glass and Window Cleaning: Clean and polish windows, glass doors, and mirrors in common areas.
Restock Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when needed.
Resident Requests: Respond promptly to resident cleaning requests to ensure their satisfaction.
Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report maintenance needs, like leaks or broken fixtures, to management.
Safety and Security: Follow building safety protocols, including proper handling of keys and access cards.
Operate Cleaning Equipment: Safely use cleaning equipment like floor buffers and carpet cleaners, including cleaning chemicals.
Team Collaboration: Follow instructions and work with other housekeeping staff to complete tasks efficiently.
Event Support: Help prepare and clean common areas for special events as needed.
Emergency Cleaning: Respond quickly to urgent cleaning needs, such as spills or accidents
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping experience in hotels, apartment communities, or large residential properties preferred.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Basic understanding of safety and security practices
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, and team members
Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within designated timeframes
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Working knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical usage
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods throughout the workday
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment, supplies)
Push and maneuver cleaning carts and equipment throughout the property, including apartment homes and common areas
Reach, stretch, and lift overhead while cleaning units and shared spaces
Navigate stairs and elevators within a multi-level apartment community
Use hands and arms continuously while performing cleaning tasks (e.g., wiping, scrubbing, vacuuming)
Work in indoor environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
Respond promptly to resident needs and operational priorities, including urgent cleaning situations
