  • Coordinates grant agreement processing, reports, and amendment requests with the CFO and other foundation staff;
  • Responds to applicant inquiries regarding the grants management portal (Foundant), proposal and award statuses, and payment schedules;
  • Conducts research on prospective grantees or relevant issues as needed.

Grantee Relations
  • Serves as an important point of contact for Moriah grantees with senior leaders from impactful nonprofits in the U.S. and globally;

  • Organizes documents and maintains records, including creating and regularly updating spreadsheets with information on Moriah grantees;
  • Handles general office duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • BA or BS with a minimum of 5 of relevant office experience, preferably in grantmaking, nonprofit, or grants/contracts management settings, 10+ years preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience with grants management systems, online portals, databases, and Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with an interest in and enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies;
  • General understanding of IRS regulations and requirements related to private foundation philanthropy;
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including creating and using formulas to support data management, analysis, and reporting;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, writing, editing and proofreading skills;
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and stellar time management skills; proactive and able to prioritize work assignments and manage multiple deadlines;
  • Commitment to social justice and a strong belief in democracy, women’s rights, and educational equity; desire to learn more about a broad array of issues as well as to learn about the work of our grantees and continuously find ways to support them;
  • Ability to handle communications tactfully and professionally with close attention to detail; able to represent The Moriah Fund in any environment, including with grantees as well as leaders from the philanthropic community;
  • Proficient in Foundant, or similar grant management platform or CRM
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides), and Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with interest in and enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies;
  • Willingness to travel to Fund-hosted convenings if needed;
