This role is critical to scaling Tesla’s distribution network to meet global demand while ensuring seamless delivery of vehicles from factory to customers. What You'll Do
Coordinate Logistics Operations: Develop and optimize systems for moving goods between factories, hubs, and final destinations, including dynamic routing adjustments and ad hoc decision-making
Collaborate with Partners: Lead meetings and drive performance with internal transport teams and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure alignment and efficiency
Resolve Complex Issues: Address shipment challenges, load-related problems, and unique requests while maintaining service quality and delivery timelines
Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Prepare documentation, build operational reporting, and adhere to freight forwarding standards (e.g., Incoterms)
Enhance Operational Efficiency: Implement cost-effective transportation strategies, coach drivers on Tesla’s Logistics Mobile Application, and streamline processes for scalability
Manage Exceptions: Balance standardized workflows with flexibility to execute one-off solutions when necessary
Close and Archive Shipments: Finalize logistics records, ensure timely delivery and proper filing for audit and compliance purposes
What You'll Bring
Degree in Supply Chain or the equivalent of experience and evidence of exceptional ability
2+ years of experience in Logistics
Experience with trucking of automotive freight preferred
Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, PowerBI, and other database systems
Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and standards and Incoterms
Basic knowledge of accounting functions and relative information retrieval
Ability to travel up to 10%
