About the role

Job Title: Precision Assembly Technician (Biotech – TenSkin™ Production)
(Hands-on, detail-focused role — not a typical lab job)
Location: Kannapolis, NC
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
About Ten Bio Technologies
Ten Bio is a biotech company building advanced human skin models used by leading pharmaceutical and consumer companies. Our proprietary platform, TenSkin™, requires skilled, hands-on production — and we are growing our team to meet demand.
The Role (Read This First — This Job Is Not for Everyone)
This is a hands-on production role, not a traditional “white coat” lab position. You will be working with real human tissue, using tools and manual techniques to carefully prepare and assemble TenSkin™ units. The work requires focus, patience, and pride in doing things correctly every time.
This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Likes working with their hands
  • Notices small details others miss
  • Takes ownership of the quality of their work
  • Is comfortable repeating a process until it is done right

If you are looking for a desk-based or purely analytical role, this position will not be a good fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing and assembling TenSkin™ units using precise, step-by-step methods
  • Using simple tools (including screwdrivers and manual fixtures)
  • Inspecting your own work and correcting issues before moving forward
  • Following detailed protocols while maintaining consistency across samples
  • Repeating processes with a high level of care and accuracy
  • Supporting in other general lab tasks as required

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong attention to detail - you notice when something “isn’t quite right”
  • Good manual dexterity and comfort working with your hands
  • Patience and focus for repetitive, precision-based work
  • Personal accountability for quality - you fix things instead of passing them on
  • Reliability - your team depends on your output being consistent

No degree required.
Experience in hands-on work (assembly, crafts, mechanical tasks, etc.) is a strong plus.
Training
We will train you from scratch.
This is a specialized skill that takes ~3 months to learn well — and longer to master.
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • A stable, growing company with increasing demand
  • The opportunity to develop high-value technical skill
  • A team that values precision, accountability, and craftsmanship

How to Apply
If you enjoy building things, working with your hands, and taking pride in doing high-quality work, we’d love to hear from you.
