Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Anchorage, AK (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite required) Contract Length: 4 month contract (No extensions) About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Business Analyst to support both operational and technical projects across the organization — helping teams clarify business needs, improve processes, and ensure smooth project delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can quickly build relationships, document requirements clearly, and keep work moving forward during a time of transition. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for operational and system-related initiatives.
Map current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop clear documentation such as business requirements, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
Support project delivery through coordination, communication, and tracking progress against milestones.
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of project outcomes against business objectives.
Prepare reports, updates, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Provide general analytical and administrative support to the Operations and IT teams as needed.
Skills and Experience Required:
Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical or project coordination role.
Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working across both operational and system-focused projects.
Solid understanding of business process analysis and improvement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or business analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Visio, Miro, Confluence, Jira).
Preferred:
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
Experience supporting change management or process improvement initiatives.
Previous experience in a corporate, public sector, or service-oriented organization.
