Role: AV & Events Support Contractor Location: Hybrid in Denver – typically Monday, Tuesday onsite
This is a part-time role. Candidates should expect to be onsite in the mornings (starting around 7:00AM), typically on Mondays and Tuesdays, for a few hours to handle troubleshooting and ensure systems are running smoothly. Depending on needs, some additional work may be completed remotely.
Candidates should also be available to support office events and meetings through the week, including pre-event troubleshooting and setup as needed.
The role is expected to average approximately 20 hours per week.
Contract: 1 year - potential for additional 6 months extension.
Role Purpose
This role provides hands-on support to ensure Audio/Visual (AV) systems remain fully functional, well-maintained, and dependable. The contractor will also deliver onsite technical assistance for meetings, recordings, and corporate events, helping ensure a seamless experience for users and event attendees.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain reliable day-to-day operation of all meeting room AV environments, including microphones, cameras, displays, speakers, control systems, and video conferencing setups, while working in coordination with a remote AV advisor.
Perform scheduled weekly onsite inspections of all conference rooms and AV systems to assess functionality, readiness, and overall system performance.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to audio, video, and conferencing technologies directly on site.
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize outages and improve system stability, including applying firmware or system updates when required.
Identify and report potential risks, recurring issues, or aging equipment, and provide recommendations for improvements or remediation to the internal team.
Provide on-demand onsite AV support for important meetings, executive sessions, town halls, recordings, and live or hybrid events, including audio, video, and streaming support.
Support the full event lifecycle for high-visibility meetings and events, including setup, testing, live event monitoring, and teardown of AV equipment.
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience supporting professional AV systems in enterprise or corporate environments.
Working knowledge of enterprise video conferencing platforms, such as Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar systems.
Hands-on experience with AV technologies and platforms, including Cisco, Biamp, Planar, Shure, Legrand, Proconnect, SIP-based systems, QSC, Neat, Microsoft Teams, and related solutions.
Prior experience supporting live events, recordings, or corporate meeting environments.
Strong troubleshooting abilities related to AV hardware and conference room technologies.
Ability to work independently onsite, respond quickly to issues, and follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
