About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced program manager who thrives in complex environments with many moving pieces, competing priorities, and high visibility? Do you enjoy leading large-scale software implementations, building trust with stakeholders, and helping teams navigate ambiguity to deliver outstanding results?
The organization is an innovative and rapidly growing software company that supports government agencies and financial institutions through specialized SaaS solutions focused on tax collection, electronic payments, bond auctions, and more. This work is meaningful, complex, and highly collaborative — and the organization is looking for a senior program manager who can lead large, high-impact implementation programs across multiple clients and teams.
This is not a coordination-only role. The organization is seeking someone who can independently drive programs forward, manage risk proactively, align stakeholders, and lead complex implementations from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple concurrent software implementation programs and strategic initiatives from initiation through successful delivery
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, client stakeholders, vendors, and leadership
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams while serving as a trusted program leader
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively and make informed decisions to maintain momentum and delivery timelines
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early and proactively drive resolution strategies
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams while maintaining visibility into overall program health
  • Facilitate executive-level communication, status reporting, and stakeholder alignment
  • Drive accountability across teams while fostering collaboration and trust
  • Help improve internal delivery processes, operational efficiency, and implementation best practices
  • Support teams through changing priorities and evolving client needs with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
  • Travel up to 25% as needed based on project requirements

Required Qualifications
Successful candidates will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills along with experience managing large-scale, complex software implementation or software development initiatives.
The organization is especially interested in candidates who:
  • Have 8+ years of program/project management experience in software development, SaaS implementation, enterprise technology, consulting, financial services, healthcare IT, govtech, or similarly complex environments
  • Have successfully led multiple concurrent enterprise-scale projects or programs
  • Are comfortable operating independently in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
  • Excel at building alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Can communicate complex topics clearly and simply to a wide variety of audiences, including executives and clients
  • Have experience managing projects involving multiple systems, integrations, vendors, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Are highly organized while remaining flexible and pragmatic in their approach
  • Know how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Are proactive problem solvers who anticipate issues before they become roadblocks
  • Have experience recovering or stabilizing challenged projects/programs (strongly preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
  • SaaS implementation experience
  • Government client or regulated industry experience
  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams
  • Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or related certifications are welcome but not required

Additional Information
The organization rewards teamwork, professional excellence, and individual responsibility. The company is structured to support remote work, and a culture centered on responsiveness, collaboration, trust, and delivering exceptional service to clients has been built.
